Using The GOWIPE Strategy To WIPE Out The Enemy's Base

The GOWIPE strategy, which is composed of Golems, Wizards, and P.E.K.K.As, is used by many players in Clan Wars and can bring out two stars for your team. It is used by players in Town Hall 8 and above and is being widely used when the Clan War concept began in Clash of Clans.

Requirements in Using the GOWIPE strategy:

  • MUST BE TOWN HALL 8 and ABOVE
  • Must have unlocked the PEKKA and Golem at the Barracks
  • Must have level 5 wizards
  • Must have 200 army camp capacity
Army Composition for players who have 200 army camp capacity:
  • 2 Golems
  • 2 PEKKA
  • 6 Wallbreakers
  • 16 Wizard
  • 2 Giants/ Hog Rider <Use some Hog Rider if the Clan Castle is in the Middle of the Base>
  • 2 Archers
Army Composition for players who have  220 army camp capacity:
  • 2 Golems
  • 2 PEKKAs
  • 8 Wallbreakers
  • 20 wizards
  • 2 Giants/ Hog Rider <Use some Hog Rider if the Clan Castle is in the Middle of the Base
  • 2 Archers
Spell Composition:
  • 2 Heal Spells
  •  Rage Spell
Both Must Be at Least level 3 and above

Clan Castle Composition:
If your Clan Castle is in level 3, ask your clan mates for some level 5 wizards or above. If your clan castle    is in level 4, you may ask for a high level PEKKA and remove a pekka in your barracks and replace it with some wizards. If you have a level 5 clan castle, you may ask for a high level Golem and remove a Golem in your army composition and train some wizards for the replacement.

How to Perform the Attack:

1. Lure Out the Clan Castle Troops First
It is very necessary to lure out the Clan Castle Troops first because they will decrease the percentage of your chance to hit 2-3 stars. To lure the troops inside the castle, use your Giants or Hog Riders. If you think that there's a Spring Trap where you want to deploy them, drop a single Giant in there and after 2 seconds, drop the second one. After every single troop inside the Castle is lured by the giants, drop a single archer at the area where you think that it won't be killed by the defensive buildings. If the troops were lured by the archer, you may drop the second archer or a golem <If you have a golem on your clan castle, drop it instead of your Golem in your army composition>. If you chose to drop your last archer, drop it 5-8 squares far where you drop your first archer and quickly drop 3-5 wizards. Make sure that you've dropped your wizards 1-2 squares far away from each other to prevent the wizards from the Castle to kill them. If you wish to use your golem, Drop a Golem where you dropped your fist archer and quickly deploy 5 wizards and that should kill the CC Troops.

2. Drop your wizards behind your Golem
Drop some 7 wizards behind the First Golem that you've dropped and 2 Wallbreakers. If the Golem had lost 3/4 of its health points, drop the first Heal Spell on the area where the wizards would also be healed.

3. Drop your Second Golem
After you've dropped your first heal spell, deploy your second Golem at the area where you first dropped your first archer and deploy the rest of your wizards. Do not forget to deploy some wallbreakers to make a path for your troop on the Town Hall.

4. Deploy your PEKKAs
When the path to the Town Hall is cleared by your Troops, Deploy the two PEKKAs and your Hero. Make Sure that the Path is Cleared or else, they would just re-route and attack the outside structures. Drop the last Heal and Rage Spells when your troops reached the Town Hall.

Personal Experience on this strategy:
I've been using this strategy when my Barbarian King is unavailable when it is being upgraded and the PEKKAs are acting as "Meat Shields" For my Archer Queen together with my Golem. When I'm using this strategy, getting a star has 80% chance rate and 60% chance rate in getting 2 stars while 10% chance in hitting  stars because Town Hall 9 with upgraded defenses are hard to perfect. The Disadvantage of this strategy is the PEKKA and your heroes re-routing and destroying the outside structures of the enemy's base.   To prevent this from happening, make sure to clear the outside structures first before deploying them. If they would re-route, the chance of having a star is 85% while hitting 2 stars would be 30%.
